Responsibilities

SearchIgnite is looking for a technical services engineer to join a dynamic team charged with supporting our media management application and databases using cutting-edge UI frameworks for high profile clients in advertising, media, entertainment, commerce and travel.
The Technical Services Engineer will be:
Troubleshooting issues/bugs effectively and efficiently
Ensuring standards and best practices used in database development are followed and maintained
Deploying, upgrading, supporting, archiving and extracting data (ETL) for various databases and data warehouse
Work closely with the development and DBA teams to optimize schema and performance as well as standardize the use of services provided by Microsoft

Qualifications

Experience with the following technologies:
Microsoft SQL Server 2008:
Stored Procedures
SSIS packages (for ETL)
Replication
Reporting Services Database monitoring and maintenance
Database Backup and Recovery (Red Gate’s SQL Backup a plus)
Database security best practices (e.g. referential integrity, authorization models, etc)
Web Services, particularly with IIS
C#/ ASP.NET (.NET 3.5)
Object-oriented development
Component development
TFS (source control)
Remote monitoring
Familiarity with:
Adobe Flex
Diagnostic Manager
Cluster Management
Jira ticketing system
