Based in London, this role will be critical to the expansion of SearchIgnite in the UK. As one of the first SearchIgnite UK employees, the UK Business Development Director will partner directly with the Managing Director to establish a sales/client strategy and help set the tone for SearchIgnite’s UK operations and culture. With a consultative sales approach leveraging relationships with UK marketers and digital advertising agencies, the UK Business Development Director will take full ownership of the sales cycle and client management/retention post sale supported by a US-based team of Algorithmic Analysts, software developers, and other technology/training resources.
Responsibilities
- has at least 3 years experience selling complex technical applications, search marketing solutions or web-base analytics (understanding/recognizing the needs of all levels of marketing organization – from technical SEM/bid optimization, to higher level strategic benefit of PPC campaigns across multiple channels; knowledge of ad serving solutions a plus);
- is results focused, a big picture thinker with the ability to both understand the total value proposition of our client’s properties and the ability to get things done and close business
- has proven expertise preparing and presenting solution-based business proposals
- has an established network with senior level online/digital marketers;
- has superior ethics and integrity
- has the passion and entrepreneurial spirit to create personal and professional success.
Qualifications
- Accomplished technology sales/account manager with excellent understanding of digital marketing/search engine marketing.
- Entrepreneurial spirit eager to get in at the ground level of this global leader delivering emerging, next-generation technology solutions in search marketing and auction-based media services as we enter the UK marketplace.
- Proven success identifying, closing leads and managing client retention.
- Passion to help create a strong company culture and platform for SearchIgnite UK.
